Mike has previously worked as Professional Planner with the City of Auburn Office of Planning and Economic Development and the Cayuga County Planning Board, as City Manager of Oneonta, and City Administrator of Poughkeepsie.  Mike is now founding partner in a private practice, opening his own consulting firm, Finger Lakes Planning and Development, in 2014.  Mike has over 40 years of local government experience and grant administration, and has developed a focus on historic preservation.  As a member of the New York Upstate Chapter APA Executive Committee, he has held several positions including President, Treasurer, and is currently Officer Emeritus.  Recently, Mike was elected into the “College of Fellows” of the AICP.  Over the past 30-years, Mike has worked on successfully establishing the Harriet Tubman National Historical Park in Auburn, NY, from its initial concept proposal to its implementation.
